Dave Johnson of Santa Barbara, CA, has been shaping surfboards since 1967. Specializing in both the longboard and the hot dog short board for most of his shaping career. Since 1990 Dave has been focusing on the big wave guns and as of 2001, he has been shaping tow boards and staying up-to-date with all the latest technologies and developments that are taking place in tow board designs.

Dave's amateur surf career consists of over 40 top place finishes and two 1st place titles in the prestigious Rincon Surf Classic. Dave is also former President and Coach for UCSB Surf Team and loves to work with up and coming potential team riders.

All tow boards are shaped with the high density Clark Foam blanks with 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch spruce stringers.
All tow boards are generally glassed with a standard double or triple 6oz. deck and a double or triple 6oz. bottom.
